Album with tog. 12 original photographs, of which 2 horizontal ones sized 22.5x19 cm. depict. the exterior of the Lodge, 6 vertical photographs depict. the Lodge's Interior (the temple, altar, &c.), each sized 17x11.3 cm., 1 horizonal photograph depict the Lodge's board-members, sized 17x11.5 cm., with all names printed at tail, 3 horizontal photographs, sized 17x11.5 cm. depict. lodge-members with their wives at the New Year's Eve banquet 28 Dec[ember] 5951=1952. Tog. 12 original photographs mounted on stiff grey-coloured leaves, all with printed captions at tails. ADDED: 5 original horizontal photographs, each 17.5x11.5 cm., all relating to the banquet (Lodge members, some non-european, with their wives) loosely added, without captions however, AND: 7 other snapshots on the same subject. The freemason's (regular) Loge Deli, located at Djalan Serdang 16, Medan municipality, was founded in 1888. Especially the professional Interior photographs are of great importance as it was, and is, highly unusual to publish photographs of the interior of a Lodge. Amongst board-members we find a.o. following brethern in their ceremonial dress: R. Siegers (Master of Ceremonies), G. van Wezel (orator), B.W.J. Hooft (deputy president), Wm. S.B. Klooster (author under pseud. Willem Brandt) (president), W.A. Klaver (Thesaurus), J.W. van Belkum & F.A. v.d. Bilt. In very good condition. A very rare Album. (some minor occasional worming, of which some pin-prick worming, one small hole touching upper margin of first photograph).
