Original limp paper orange coloured menue-card, five course dinner in french language, presented by Hotel Sarkies (Surabaia), celebrating the 40th birthday (1909-1949) of H.R.H. Juliana, Queen of The Netherlands and Overseas Territories. Queen's monochrome portrait at top-margin. WITH a typed letter (19 lines), A-4 sized and centre-folded, by the Oranje Hotel Director E.M. Sarkies, in which Sarkies congratulates the Queen with her enthronement and encloses as a token 2 Hotel Menues. AND the original reply by Her Majesty's Private Secretary Mr. J.C. Baron Baud by which Her Majesty's appreciation is expressed for the menue's and wishes received. A-4 sized, centre-folded. Original typo-script, (6 lines), dated soestdijk, 4 September 1948, with original signature. Original (simple) stationary (verso blank), (Her Majesty's ceremonial address has been changed in typoscript from Princessto Her Majesty, an interesting example of Royal economizing). An interesing and very well preserved small lot of memorabilia.
