ADDED: 16 original medical records, filled-in with original typo-script, each record with a single or more original photograph, varying in size from 10.5x6.5 cm. to 14x9.5cm., tog. 22 photos. depict. Karo-Batak female, male & juvenile admissioned patients(3 photographs depict. the hospital: 1 exterior, 2 interior), pasted on large 8°-sized thin card-board (each with 2 holes punched in left margin to keep in a file, not touching text or photos). Some photos. rather gruesome. AND: 4 complete obduction-reports of former patients, of which 2 folio-sized, in original typo-script (recto/verso) and 2 typed on orig. thin cardboard, A-4 sized (typed recto-verso). The annual report on the Hospital of the Batak Institute at Kaban Djahé (East Coast Sumatra), supplies extensive statistical information covering numbers of patients admissioned, discarded patients and those who died, medication applied, operations executed, &c..incl. some concise notes and tables on the financial status of the hospital; also the added obduction-reports from the section pathology and the photographs of admissioned patients are of great interest. Collection in excellent condition. Rare.
