Memoirs of the Belgian Baron Lahure who arrived on Java in 1821 as an officer of the Dutch East Indies Army. The greater part of his memoirs are devoted to the military campaigns in Celebes in 1824, 1825 and 1826, where Lagure together with General Van Geen took part in the expeditions against Boni, Maros, Goa, Bonthain and Tanette, followed by military actions in Java between 1827 and 1830. In 1831 he returned to Belgium where he became aide-de-camp to the new King Leopold I. - Rouffaer-Muller p. 31.
