Written by an Insider who strongly recommends a [commercial] career in the Dutch East Indies to dutch youngsters, in fact countering Bas Veth's publication Het Leven in Nederlandsch-Indië (1900), in which European (Dutch) society is heavily criticized. Very good copy. Rare. (some minimal occasional shaving to rims of covers and spine-ends).
