Caroline Eden is a regular contributor to the travel and food pages of The Guardian, The Telegraph, Financial Times and other publications as well as having a weekly page in London’s Metro newspaper.
She specialises emerging destinations - usually in the former Soviet Union - and has reported on events in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Haiti and Bangladesh for BBC Radio 4’s From Our Own Correspondent and has spoken to audiences about her adventures at the Royal Geographical Society, Asia House, Stanfords and Waterstones.
Caroline began her career writing travel book reviews for The Bookseller then working for Odyssey Guides and Steppe magazine, both companies with a focus on Central Asia while she studied for an MA from SOAS, University of London.
Her first book 'Samarkand - recipes and stories from Central Asia and the Caucasus' is a food/travel title that was published to high acclaim by Kyle Books in June 2016.
