A dutch patriotic Album, being a concise account of the role of the Royal Dutch Navy in the Second World War, focusing upon the battle of the Java-Sea, in which a combined striking-force of dutch, british and u.s. warships, under command of Rear-admiral Karel Doorman, attacked the invading Japanese fleet, 1942. The commander went-down together with a great number of sailors, with his flafship the cruiser H.Ms. De Ruyter, a small number of ships escaped to Australia. A nice and colourful album in good to very good condition. (some very light and insignificant wear to spine-ends and corners of boards).
