Although this reprint is an abridged edition after the original memorandum it still contains the most essential points of interest, e.g. Japan's preparation for colonial expansion in the Far East (China) and Southeast Asia, incl. mainland Southeast Asia. The political-military concept of a Greater Asia under japanese administration was already regocnized in the memorandum, which also can be considered as a prelude to the Pacific war 1942-1945.
